How to Play:
- Gameplan: This comp is the best user of Emblems at the moment due to the amount of hanging traits. Yi can utilize many emblems and these can serve as his itemization. Prioritize Edge of Night as aggro drop is key to keeping Yi alive. This comp is best played from tempo and should not be leaned into from loss streak.
- Stage 1-2: Check your Psionic as soon as possible and look to commit if you have an AD item. Play your strongest AD opener while slamming Yi and Kindred items. Pyke is a great item holder to streak through stage 2, but will fall off in stage 3. Primordian is a strong option that can also provide extra econ.
- Stage 3: Continue to play your strongest board and collecting Yi items. Your holds will be different depending on if you played this from an Emblem Augment.
- Stage 4: Roll down on 4-2 for Yi, Kindred and TK. Flex around whatever emblems you have available to you if you clicked an emblem augment. If you don’t have any extra emblems prioritize 4 Brawler and 4 Marauder as these are cheap traits that stabilize your board consistently on stage 4.
- Stage 5+: Level to 9 as soon as possible and look for Fiora and other 5 cost.
- Tips:
- Since Yi is a melee carry aura buffs such as Morgana’s Dark Lady and Shen’s Bulwark are incredibly useful as they keep him alive much more consistently.
- Kindred holds Target Lock Optics better than Yi does.
- Malware Matrix is by far the best Psionic item on Yi as it helps him shred through front lines faster.
- Emblem Priority: Marauder > Brawler > Psionic = Challenger > NOVA
- Max cap is Fiora and Vex 2.
